We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented logistics professional to join our team in the role of Global Logistics Sales Executive in Atlanta, GA. We’re growing rapidly and looking for passionate, innovative professionals to join our team and connect the world to more. As a Global Logistics Sales Executive, you will be developing, maintaining, executing the movement as well as growing relationships with customers, shippers, and consignees. This is an exciting and fast-paced environment designed to challenge and reward ambitious candidates.

You will utilize your experience and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within transportation/logistics, import/export regulations. You will be responsible for managing the logistics analysts and coordinators who support the day-to-day activities surrounding freight cost analysis, tracking and tracing, and third-party management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • This individual will interface across all levels of management, internal customers and outside suppliers.
  • Meet all assigned sales and budget goals.
  • Responsible to communicate with our customers (both internal and external) with any general shipment related questions, regulations, required information, invoices, quotes, tracking & tracing (shipment status) and all other related to logistic operations.
  • Negotiate rates and select carriers based on transit times and optimum profit opportunities.
  • Supervise the related shipment-based accounting functions, vendor payables, revenue generation, case reports, and shipment activity reports.
  • Contacts and meets with customers to build and grow the business. Must be able to travel to customer locations, including overnight and air travel.
  • Maintaining office organization and efficiency.
  • Solicits and prepares transportation quotes and works closely with AP to reconcile freight invoices.
  • Maintains ongoing metrics on cost, operational performance, and internal/external customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Overall industry knowledge with plus 3 years of experience in Sales, Operations, and Management – preferred.
  • Extensive experience working with customer service, finance, operations, sales and account management, field service and returns, and reliability engineering.
  • Own and drive its own car to visit customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly self-motivated and pro-active "self-starter".
  • Problem identification and solving skills.
  • Adaptable – respond effectively to changes in situation or information.
  • Ability to work in a blended role of operations and sales in an office environment.
  • Must be sensitive and able to engage with different cultures both locally and internationally.
  • High-level of integrity.
  • Bilingual a plus.
