Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Freight Forwarding Operations Team Member to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to kickstart their career in logistics and gain hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations. As a key member of the team, you will support the coordination and management of shipments, assist with documentation preparation, and contribute to the overall success of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in coordinating and managing shipments from booking to delivery under supervision.

Support communication with carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth transportation operations.

Aid in preparing shipping documentation, such as bills of lading and customs paperwork.

Help monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and assist in resolving any issues.

Learn to collaborate with team members to optimize transportation routes and processes.

Provide support in delivering excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and keeping customers informed.

Participate in evaluating and improving operational processes to enhance efficiency.

Operational handling of the day-to-day operations of assigned accounts to ensure that customer requirements are met. Included but not limited to: RFQ's, One-off-Quotes, initiating freight pickups, interfacing with 3rd party warehousing, interfacing with airline/steamship lines, and invoicing customer.

Demonstrates constant learner mentality and grows knowledge base and skill set.

Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Logistics or related field is a plus.

No prior experience is necessary, but a strong interest in logistics and freight forwarding is essential.

Basic understanding of shipping procedures and willingness to learn about international regulations.

Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

The willingness and ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus quickly as needed

Must have ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills

Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and operational systems.

Ability to work under pressure in a very time-sensitive environment while maintaining positive morale.

Location: Atlanta Airport Area- In office
