Shine Smile Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist Near Laurel, MD

FRONT DESK DUTIES:

  • Fulfill the duties of a Patient Service Representative by answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling appointments, making confirmation calls.
  • Responsible for verifying patient insurance eligibility prior to the dental appointment
  • Responsible for management of the company email account.
  • Knowledge about billing and collection processing.
  • Assist with patient referrals and proper documentation treatment
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the waiting room, refreshment bar, and patient restroom
  • Protect patient privacy; follows all HIPAA policies and laws
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
  • Follow all Infection Control protocols and procedures
  • Support dental assistants in sterilization of dental instruments

  • Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments.
  • Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Dental Assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • Spanish (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred)
  • X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
