Full Job Description
Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
Take direction and respond to supervision.
Communicate with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers professionally.
Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
Performs routine tasks in assigned area, follows a 9-Step strip and refinish process.
Performs routine tasks in assigned area, follows maintenance schedule for floors.
Use proper personal protective equipment.
Cleans fixtures, furnishings, walls, woodwork (baseboard protectors), floors, elevators/tracks, and exteriors of equipment.
Moves and resets furnishings to original locations following completion of job.
Performs all methods of floor care in duties, including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing and extraction, using specified equipment.
Loading equipment into assigned work van to and from job sites.
Understand customer service and satisfaction.
Job Skills / Requirements
The primary duty of the floor technician is maintaining the cleanliness of the floors in the location they work in.
Work involves prolonged periods of walking, standing and lifting of materials, equipment and furniture
Ability to lift 50-100 pounds
Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 30 pounds
Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
Frequently lift 5-10 pounds
Must be able to hear and comprehend instructions
Visual acuity necessary to operate equipment, mix chemicals and inspect surfaces
Interact with customer personnel
Perform tasks that require physical movement, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching
Can work well with other team members
Responsibilities
Must be reliable and show up prompt ready to work
Perform preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use
Secure the work area and post proper safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work
Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
Keep hard surface floors cleaned by dust mopping, damp mopping, spray buffing, scrub and recoat, strip and refinish
Perform routine maintenance tasks
Maintain working condition of floor care equipment
Organize custodial closets and spaces after use
Take direction and respond to supervision
Communicate with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers professionally
Use proper personal protective equipment
Other general cleaning and project work, as required
Have a positive attitude!
Qualifications
Must be 21 years age
Must have reliable transportation to and from the office
Read, write, and speak English
Must be very organized
Ability to handle physical workload
Extremely attentive to accuracy and detail
Perform tasks that require physical movement, bending, lifting and reaching
Performs with great care and completeness
Pass pre-employment drug screen
Pass criminal background check
Understand customer service and satisfaction

Experience:
Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
Must be able to work with minimum to no help and/or with others
Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed and low-speed buffers, wet vacs and auto scrubbers
Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment
Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
