About The Role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the company’s operations run smoothly and according to Ship Essential’s SLA’s. As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for engaging and developing the members of the team that is assigned to you. You'll be heavily involved in driving process improvement, maintaining a safe work environment, and tracking performance and employee engagement.This position requires an action-oriented manager with a penchant for innovative and critical thinking aimed at improving efficiencies and productivity.

Responsibilities

Operational Excellence 

• Oversee a team of Leads and Associates, and constantly review performance data, ensuring adherence to operational goals (hourly, daily, weekly)
• Analyze warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement, including workflow design, material handling, equipment utilization, and inventory management
• Regularly review and adjust the labor plan to align with capacity needs, workforce retention, and engagement needs
• Work cross functionally with the Brand Success team to triage and troubleshoot any inbound or outbound issues while maintaining our SLA’s
• Address operational issues and challenges in a timely manner, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to implement solutions
• Provide senior management recommendations for resolution of significant issues or roadblocks
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in warehouse operations and process engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance warehouse performance

Customer-Centric Focus

• Lead and motivate the warehouse team to embrace a sales-oriented approach, fostering a culture of proactive engagement and continuous improvement
• Actively collaborate with the growth team to understand and support their efforts in acquiring new brands
• Identify operational improvements and innovative solutions that can be leveraged to attract and retain new clients
• Provide exceptional service and operational insights during client tours and meetings to showcase our capabilities and value proposition
• Set and achieve targets for onboarding new brands and increasing order volumes through strategic operational enhancements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in supply chain management and logistics
• Strong leadership and planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of warehousing and logistics software systems
• Ability to manage complex shipping operations within allocated budget and timeframe

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role within the logistics or supply chain sector.
