We’re seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to join our fast-paced Engineering Team. Someone with strong knowledge of AWS, DevOps, and automation to work across our complex environment.
Your Impact:
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code(IaC) for cloud systems
- Design, code, and provision solutions to improve cloud operations; provide services to engineering and QA teams
- Utilize, improve, and manage CICD pipelines for software application deployment across various environments
- Collaborate with security operations to maintain proper security posture
- Set up, configure, and maintain high availability in the public cloud
- Develop and maintain robust observability and logging systems
- Support and work alongside software engineers
- Guide peer teams on best practices for infrastructure and application deployment
- Implement monitoring and logging standards for infrastructure and applications
- Provide services and tools to the organization to reduce dependencies on the DevOps team
- Experience:
- The ideal candidate should have 5 years of experience in a Software Engineering role or an equivalent position, showcasing a strong background in the field. This includes extensive experience in AWS, especially in multi-region/multi-tenant environments, demonstrating a high level of expertise in cloud platforms
- Background in software development is required, showcasing a comprehensive skill set that spans both development and operations
- Technology:
- Hands-on experience with databases, enterprise software, and eCommerce, indicating a broad and practical understanding of relevant technologies
- Proficient in working with containerized environments and application modernization, demonstrating a high level of tech-savviness
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, indicating a strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment practices
- Experience managing cloud systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform
- Understanding of observability and incident response teams and processes
- Proficiency in maintaining Linux/Unix systems
- AWS experience preferred
- Personality Traits:
- Support a test-driven, quality culture that drives continuous improvements in the Quality Process, emphasizing a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
- The candidate should exhibit a deep understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies, showcasing a commitment to efficient and collaborative work practices
