Shirley Parsons, North America is Hiring an Environmental Engineer [GD-13709] Near Richmond, VA

A national chemicals manufacturing company is seeking an Environmental Engineer to help oversee the environmental function for their site in the Richmond, VA area. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance at the site and maintaining environmental permitting and program management.

The Role:

  • Manage implementation of requirements associated with a government environmental compliance program at the assigned site.
  • Interface with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies on issues relating to compliance.
  • Lead the development of environmental management systems to facilitate an increase in understanding and accountability.
  • Work closely with site leaders to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Review and analyze environmental documentation issued by regulatory agencies.
  • Participates as a leader for environmental audits.

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical or environmental engineering, chemistry, or equivalent field
  • 8 years Environmental experience in the chemicals industry
  • 5 years of experience in environmental/environmental regulations
  • 5 years of success maintaining environmental permits and systems at the site level.
  • Experience working with Environmental Management Systems - RC14001
  • Experience working with governmental regulatory agencies.
