Shirley Parsons has partnered with a Civil Engineering company who is looking to improve their safety program and add an experienced safety professional. This Safety Coordinator role will be responsible for developing and implementing upon the safety training program.

The Role:

• Work with supervisors and managers to help identify and prevent any potential safety hazards and injury risks.
• Carry out company and federal OSHA safety laws to create a safe and comfortable work area.
• Attend and participate in daily tool box talks and weekly safety audits.
• Document and report any and all safety hazards as well as documenting analyses for the site.
• Ability to promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site.

The Candidate:

• At least 3 years of experience in a Safety role.
• Roadway paving and/or Civil Construction experience required.
• Highly motivated and team oriented mindset.
• Ability to problem solve and reinforce strong safety behaviors.
• Strong communication and Microsoft office skills.
