Description:The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring effective operation and maintenance of the plant and machinery. The Maintenance Technician II will also implement plant safety initiatives and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. The maintenance technician will also perform additional duties as assigned.
Duties:
  • Receives work order requests for facilities maintenance from employees, tenants, customers, or other visitors.
  • Ensures work is performed in a timely manner, and triages requests to prioritize the most critical repairs.
  • Inspects and performs preventative maintenance or as-needed repairs on facilities or systems, which may include mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC or other environmental management systems, generators or power management systems, or fire or safety systems.
  • Makes basic repairs and coordinates the work of specialists when more complex repairs are needed.
  • Schedules maintenance or repairs to minimize disruptions to organizational operations wherever possible.
Skills/Abilities:
  • Electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Proficient in AC voltage 120 to 480.
  • Single phase and three phase knowledge.
  • Proficient in mechanical fabrication of steel and aluminum components.
  • Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
  • Low voltage and control voltage wiring knowledge preferred.
  • Welding and/or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a fork-lift and pallet jack.
  • Basic hand tool and handheld power tool use.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously as needed.
  • Resiliency and adaptability to frequent changes in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 6 months’ experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • 2 4 years minimum experience in industrial maintenance required.
  • Troubleshooting, electrical, and mechanical 2-4 years of experience required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work at an elevated height up to 20 feet.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to repetitively bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, lift, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
