Job Title

Inside Sales Associate – Marine Products

Reports To

The Inside Sales Associate will report to the Company Owners and will work closely with the Territory Sales Managers providing general sales support to our customers and end users.

Job Overview

The primary function of the Inside Sales Associate is to support and assist Shoco’s dock product sales efforts, including online lead management, quote/drawing preparation, customer/dealer training and support, and quoting, fulfilling, and shipping parts orders.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Support Territory Managers with ongoing customer service and sales support in an effort to enhance customer relationships and drive sales growth in our Dock Products Division.

§ Research and resolve customer issues and questions.

§ Communicate with customers, vendors, other Distributors, and internal Shoco employees via phone, email, or text as needed.

§ Maintain the necessary technical product and pricing information, including training materials on EZ Dock and other related products. Provide product training for new and existing Dealers.

§ Assist Territory Managers with quote preparation, project designs/layouts, and ongoing Dealer relationship management activities, including periodic site visits to the Dealer’s location

§ Support identification and onboarding of new Dealers in targeted markets

· Manage inbound leads

§ Qualify leads and assign to the appropriate EZ Dock or Dealer. Ensure leads for non-EZ Dock product are routed to the appropriate Shoco personnel for follow up.

§ Provide ongoing training and support to Dealers on effective lead management, including best practices for follow up and resolution.

§ Proactively monitor and track active Dealer leads and ensure lead status is accurately reflected in the system. Identify root causes for why leads are won or lost.

· Oversee fulfillment of parts orders

§ Receive and qualify all inbound parts orders. Engage with the customer to understand their needs and provide quotes. Process committed orders in Shoco’s system.

§ Pick, pack, and ship all parts orders

§ Ensure sufficient inventory depth for key parts is on hand; coordinate with Inventory & Logistics Manager on parts quantities and replenishment needs

· Help execute marketing program aimed at growing Shoco and our Dealers’ sales in relevant geographies

§ Identify best practices used by other Distributors and Dealers to generate new sales leads

§ Deploy tactical marketing programs (social media, digital, print, trade shows, etc.) and create scorecard/metrics for measuring results

§ Coordinate marketing programs with Dealers to ensure they are taking full advantage of the resources available to them without duplicating efforts

Qualifications

· College degree and/or 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or marketing

· Passion for customer service: a team player willing to go the extra mile to help our customers complete their dock projects and enjoy their outdoor recreation

· Able to communicate in a clear, professional manner, both written and verbal

· Able to work independently: proactive, highly self-motivated and detail-oriented

· Technical aptitude: ability to learn and understand the technical aspects of our dock products and their applications; able to effectively troubleshoot and creatively solve problems

· Creative thinker interested in identifying and developing improvements to existing processes and methods

· Familiarity with and proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
