Deli Associate

Job Summary:
As a Deli Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the Deli Department. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and visually appealing department, assisting customers, and ensuring efficient and safe processes in line with company policies.

Duties:
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, scales, can-openers, wrapping machines, rotisseries, fryolators, and ovens.
- Prepare and replenish deli products for sale.
- Follow proper procedures for receiving, storing, and handling products to maintain quality and freshness.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any issues to the manager promptly.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe by following sanitation standards.
- Assist in controlling product quality by handling damaged or spoiled items appropriately.
- Stock displays with fresh products and ensure proper rotation of merchandise.
- Handle merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs and perform regular lifting and moving tasks.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and company guidelines at all times.

Skills:
- Proficient in English language for communication and documentation.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and stand for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 28 per week
