Shore House is Hiring a Van Driver Near Long Branch, NJ
The Van Driver is responsible for transporting members to Shore House and employment sites using our handicap accessible minivan.
This is a Part Time position with a split schedule. Scheduled hours will be given one week in advance and will typically be 7:30AM-9:30AM and 3PM-5PM. Applicants wishing to apply for only morning or afternoon are welcome to apply, however ability to work the full scheduled hours is preferred. Flexibility to work up to 30 minutes before or up to 60 minutes after scheduled shifts, as needed.
There will be additional hours available on occasion on holidays and evenings. Advanced notices will be given.
This position is expected to begin by December 2024.
Job Description:
- Provides transportation services between Members home, Shore House and employment sites in Monmouth County.
- Follow transportation schedules and communicate with the Program Director regarding all aspects of member’s transportation.
- Follow safety procedures at all times during vehicle operation.
- Completes daily mileage log.
- Communicate any vehicle maintenance issues to Program Director.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of motor vehicle operations and safety.
- Commitment to promote culture, racial, language and gender access, diversity, equity and inclusion.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- New Jersey licensed driver
- Clean driving record
- Experience driving for day programs.
- Experience with operating the adaptive equipment (wheelchair ramp)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
