Shoreline Christian School is seeking a elementary classroom assistant to join our student support staff team beginning the Fall of 2024. This person will assist a classroom teacher by leading small groups, working with students one-on-one, offering academic or behavior support to students, and correcting assignments. The position also includes regular recess duties on our natural playground with students in K-5. We are searching for someone who excels in teamwork and would communicate well with the lead teacher. This position is best for someone who can notice what needs to be done, who interacts patiently and joyfully with students and who can help redirect poor behavior in a positive way that seeks restoration and community. We offer medical, dental, vision, 403B, life insurance, and PTO. Hourly $20-$24 DOE. Our greatest accomplishment and hope as teachers is that every child will know that they are special and created in God’s image.
Qualifications:
We’re open to a variety of professional backgrounds.
Education:
At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Must have prior experience with children.
Faith:
As a community with a shared statement of faith, an active, intentional, and embodied Christian faith is essential.
Demonstrated Christian commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ and being active in a local church.
