As the Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of our ambitious journey, playing a crucial role in developing and expanding our sponsorship sales (including exhibition and advertising sales) for Association clients. Your strategic vision and sales expertise will be instrumental in shaping our approach to sponsorship sales and support, helping our clients achieve their goals, and propelling our company to new heights. But WHAT will you be doing?

The Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving revenue growth for our Association clients within assigned industries (health & medical, scientific & research, education, engineering, and trade sectors) through the sale of association and event sponsorships, exhibitions, and advertising packages using a consultative sales approach. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of market trends, excellent client relationship management skills, and a proven track record in business development working for or with Associations.

· Strategic Sales Planning

o Collaborate with the Showcare sponsorship development and Association client to understand audience, community, events, education, and activities to identify and develop sponsorable assets and design sponsorship programs, packages, and prospectus.

o Stay abreast of market trends, opportunities, and customer needs driving innovation in sponsorship, exhibition, and advertising opportunities, solutions, and programs.

o Develop and execute sales plans and tactics to reach target audience and achieve sponsorship goals for our Association clients.

o Research and determine target audience goals and objectives, decision makers and influencers, planning and budget cycles, and KPIs to develop sales outreach plans and tactics.

o Assist in developing strategic plans to expand Showcare’s sponsorship base in key industry sectors in which to attract target Association clients.

· Sales and Business Development

o Develop email sequence campaigns and conduct direct sales outreach to prospect new and existing sponsorship, exhibition, and advertising clients on behalf of association clients.

o Generate new business leads utilizing CRM prospecting tools, social media prospecting, market research, and networking at industry events.

o Grow and upsell existing Association business relationships (exhibitors, advertisers, sponsors)

o Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key Sponsor decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.

o Conduct sales presentations and negotiations, closing deals to meet or exceed sales goals.

o Develop and manage a robust pipeline of business opportunities, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, pipeline progress, and deals.

o Understand sponsor objectives and tailor sponsorship, exhibition, and advertising solutions to meet their needs.

o Execute event, year-round, and multi-year sponsorship contracts on behalf of Association clients.

· Relationship Management

o Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting sponsor account relationships through regular check-ins and updates.

o Ensure sponsors are connected to appropriate fulfillment team members for proper onboarding and execution of deliverables.

o Conduct annual reviews of Sponsorship Fulfillment Reports and contract renewals in conjunction with sales support/fulfillment team, especially for high-profile sponsors.

o Ensure that sponsorship deliverables align with and deliver on sponsor goals and suggest adjustments, if necessary, at time of renewal.

Does this fit your profile?

· 5-plus years experience selling to Associations or having worked in/with Associations in a B2B sales/business development role designing opportunities to meet client objectives.

· Knowledge and experience in designing and packaging sponsorship, exhibition, and advertising sales opportunities a huge plus. 

· Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

· Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers.

· Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

· Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.

· Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
