**Job Summary:**
We are a thriving, welcoming community of families and students focused on rigorous academics and Catholic faith formation. We are seeking a dedicated Language Arts Teacher to join our team, teaching and forming students in grades 6-8. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and language and possess the skills to effectively teach students in a private school setting. Practicing Catholic is preferred, but people of other faiths will be considered if the candidate will meet the expectations for all employees of the Archdiocese of Denver.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the school's curriculum
- Teach students various aspects of language arts, including reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
- Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Provide academic advising to students regarding language arts courses and career paths
- Utilize library services for research projects and assignments
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and projects
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Previous experience teaching language arts in a private school setting is advantageous
- Proficiency in special education techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with the Chicago Manual Style for writing and citation
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the diverse needs of students
- Knowledge of academic advising principles and practices
- Passion for literature, writing, and language arts
