We have an opportunity for Per Diem Child Life Specialists. The Child Life Specialist is responsible to work with children, from infancy through adolescence, in a family centered care environment. This position provides services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

This position requires strong skills in child development, assessment and planning, psychosocial support, procedural support and preparation, group leadership, volunteer supervision and goal directed play.

The Child Life Specialist implements a Recreational/Child Life therapy program for the patients and families. Develops age specific and culturally appropriate treatment plans based on standards of therapy and individual needs.

Reviews medical care through hospital play or discussion with patient/family. The ability to anticipate clinical patient issues and plan treatment interventions. Collaborates with teams across the hospital to provide a continuum of care.
