Shriners Children's Chicago has opportunities for full & part-time Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Responsibilities

• The surgical technologist is an integral part of the surgical health care team and functions in the role of scrub person.
• The ST works under the supervision of the registered nurse and surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Certified Surgical Technologist
• CPR
• Minimum 1 year experience with scrub and circulation skills
• Prior experience with sterile technique, infection control, sterilization and disinfection procedures
