Shutterfly is Hiring a Director - Product Information and Content Management Near Tempe, AZ
We are seeking a driven and experienced eCommerce leader to oversee and optimize our site operations and product information management (PIM) functions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient customer experience on our website and app, while also managing the accuracy and consistency of product information across all channels. In addition, this leader will continually transform processes to increase the speed at which we bring products and content onto ecommerce sites and more effectively scale our resources.
What You’ll Do Here
- Product Information & Catalog Management:
- Oversee the creation, enrichment, and maintenance of high-quality product data.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., merchandising, marketing) to ensure product information aligns with customer needs, marketing initiatives, and our taxonomy model.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, merchandising, product management & engineering) to ensure seamless product information flow across internal and external sources.
- Develop & implement data quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze product information data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead transformation and execution of Product Data & Catalog initiatives.
- Continuously improve the quality of the end-to-end process, including data governance, quality audits and process reviews.
- Site Content Management:
- Manage site content, pages, and components across eCommerce Platform to support evergreen, seasonal, occasion, branding, and customer service initiatives.
- Manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams (product & engineering, UX, marketing, merchandising) to optimize the customer journey and drive conversions.
- Drive key eCommerce platform tools & feature development and launch with product team
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support A|B testing efforts
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and optimize processes for product data & catalog, content management and site operations.
- Implement new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation and training materials for staff.
- Performance Management:
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product catalog accuracy, content quality, site operations.
- Manage a team of content and product information specialists, providing coaching and mentorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science, data science, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in e-commerce product catalog & platform management
- Proven track record of optimizing product data and understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to analyze data and draw insights to inform content and product information strategy.
- Experience tying business strategy to data requirements, and developing organized execution plans.
- Skilled in data platforms and processes including STIBO/STEP, BI, Adobe tools suite, reporting with PowerBI, Metadata Management, Data Governance, Master Data Management, and Data Catalog
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading a team to consistently successful outcomes; skilled in prioritization, delegation, resource management and efficiency.
