For our client SWIFT, the weekly hybrid schedule consists of two days on-site in their Manassas, VA office, and three days remote starting on day one of position, July 22, 2024.

The interview schedule involves three rounds of meetings with SWIFT.

The initial two SWIFT interviews would be MS Teams video conferences, then a mandatory on-site final interview at SWIFT's office in Manassas, VA.

We need a candidate that meets the following skillsets in the job description below.

We are only accepting green card or U.S. citizens for this role since our client SWIFT processes a new Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance for the position.

We're supporting our crypto-currency financial messaging partner SWIFT in Manassas, VA. Our client SWIFT provides commercial and government support to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) along with Coinbase and Robinhood. There is no previous government clearance needed for this role. SWIFT will process a new Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance in this position (work authorizations accepted are green card or U.S. citizens for the clearance).

SWIFT is seeking a Java Developer with a financial industry background along with 6 years' experience in Java (including Java 8), along with Python scripts and hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The Java Developer would join a Global Payments Innovation (GPI) Team at SWIFT, performing Agile/SCRUM methodology, consisting of four backend developers along with five frontend development members and two Project Managers. The objective of the role is to enhance SWIFT's server-side development involving Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technologies and Restful API implementation using Tomcat, JSON and XML data formats, cryptography implementation in Java 8, Python scripts and JUnit testing. Our client SWIFT requires the weekly hybrid schedule of four days on-site in their Manassas, VA office and one day remote. This is an 11-month contract (w/ possible extension) starting July 22, 2024!!

Job Description:

For GPI Engineering Cluster on ongoing initiatives GPI payments, Swift-GO, and PREVAL Services Evolution:
We require an individual with excellent JAVA programming experience with following usage.
JAVA 8 and above, Restful API implementation using Tomcat, JSON, and XML data formats and Cryptography implementation in JAVA.
Python Scripting and JUnit Testing experience.
Lambda Expressions & Parallel Streams is added advantage.
Candidate should have advanced understanding of object-oriented programming using JAVA.
Candidate should be able to code review for best practices, security, and coding standards.
Linux operating system experience is must.
Working knowledge of Python programming is a plus for this position.
