Summary

Responsible for assisting in purchasing parts and supplies for upcoming builds and creating purchase orders for outside services. Communicate with vendors and other internal departments to help maintain a constant product flow. Help maintain inventory by performing daily cycle counts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate timely and accurate parts ordering for emergency vehicles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business partners (internally and externally) to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
• Follow up with vendors regarding the status of purchase orders.
• Review purchase order confirmations and validate product pricing.
• Manage communication of changes on purchase orders.
• Track and report the progress on shipments, delivery timing, and due dates.
• Identify solutions to resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Manage multiple tasks in an organized manner in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in monthly inventory audit/ inventory management initiatives as needed.
• Responsible for learning parts/service product identification and application.
• Perform additional supply chain/procurement duties as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of purchasing/inventory management software, and ERP systems (RF smart, WMS, Microsoft Dynamics, F&O etc.)
• Good organizational and multitasking skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to flow between deadlines and projects.
• Ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma
• Relevant experience working with vendors, pricing and/or orders. (2 years)
• Experience in maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Experience or knowledge of data processing or database management systems is required.
• Excellent Business English and communication skills
• Experience dealing with all major shipping companies (e.g. UPS, Fedex, etc.)

Physical Demands

This employee will serve as a backup resource for warehouse personnel, so a typical physical work environment in a warehouse setting should be expected. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Driving a forklift and tending to shipping & receiving duties from time to time will be expected. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
