Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Research Analyst to join our diverse team at a leading environmental consultancy firm. As a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analyzing data, and providing valuable insights to support our projects on a contract basis. If you have a passion for research, a curious mind, and strong analytical skills, this role could be a perfect fit for you!
Key Responsibilities
  • Research Planning: Develop research plans and methodologies to address specific project objectives. Identify key research questions and design studies to gather relevant data.
  • Data Collection: Collect, organize, and analyze various types of data including quantitative and qualitative information. Utilize databases, surveys, interviews, and other sources to gather relevant data.
  • Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct statistical analysis, data mining, and interpretation of research findings. Summarize complex data into actionable insights and present findings to project teams.
  • Report Generation: Prepare detailed research reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate research findings effectively. Translate data into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including scientists, engineers, and policymakers to integrate research findings into project strategies and recommendations.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies. Identify patterns and trends that could impact project outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Strong research methodology knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in research, data analysis, or a relevant field is advantageous. Experience with environmental research or sustainability projects is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, R, or SAS.
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
