About Smart Infrastructure eMobility :

Siemens eMobility® is shaping the market with innovative EV charging technologies. We are dedicated to driving an open and accessible market for electric vehicles, as well as planning and implementing secure grid connections to enable further growth of EV adoption.

We are looking for an Incoming Quality Inspector to join our eMobility team. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

The Quality Inspector position is responsible for inspecting purchased parts and components for defects and compliance to standards for products such as Electrical Vehicle Chargers.

You’ll make a difference by :

• Works with peers, factory personnel and 3rd party suppliers to ensure inspection tools are properly calibrated
• Works with purchasing and engineering teams to resolve non-conformances with material that will be used in finished goods
• Drives continuous improvement activities with own team and other departments
• Will work with SAP, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Excel
• Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others
• Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management
• Being a strong team player

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications :

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 years’ experience with inspection of electrical and mechanical components
• Working with various type instrumentation used to testing
• Read and work with schematic drawings / layouts / wire lists / mechanical blueprints, and sheet metal components
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Proven record in Quality and Productivity
• Ability to lift up to 40-45 lbs. as needed
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in applied science
• Residential or commercial electrical and mechanical education or certifications
• 1 years of prior work experience in warehouse receiving and inspection

The hourly pay for this position is $23.36 / hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
