Staff Accountant - Portland, OR

SightLine Applications, LLC is the leader in onboard video processing. SightLine is an agile, innovative company developing onboard video processing systems for the autonomous vehicle industry (UAV, drone, robot, etc.). Purpose of Position

Based in the Portland office, this role executes daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting functions while working closely with the controller. As a valuable team member, the staff accountant will provide accurate and timely work while observing generally accepted accounting principles and segregation of duties.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Assist the controller with the month-end closing.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare journal entries.
• Monitor budget usage and communicate with departments related to spending.
• Review incoming purchase orders and agreements and prepare customer invoices and credit memos.
• Manage cost accounting allocations and work closely with procurement and controller to ensure accuracy.
• Work closely with our production and procurement groups to monitor and track inventory.
• Review and ensure accurate coding of accounts payable and credit card transactions.
• Assist with cash management.
• Ad hoc reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications

The candidate should have experience and confidence in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or other relevant areas or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of professional experience working in accounting.
• Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Beneficial Experience (preferred, not required)

• Working at a small company or in an agile environment.
• Proficiency with NetSuite.
• Involved in ERP implementation, upgrade, or other testing and integration activities.

Benefits

Compensations range: $70-85k annually.

Compensation includes salary, 11 paid holidays, PTO (20 days earned over the first year), health insurance, dental, vision, life/disability, 401K match, incentive plan, schedule flexibility, parental leave, and education reimbursement.

SightLine Applications has two offices: Hood River and Portland, OR. The Hood River office includes sales, software engineering, and support teams. Our Portland office includes manufacturing, software, hardware engineering, and QA teams.
