Job description:

Provides technical, analytic and database analysis for budgetary changes to USSF funding within the Program and Budget Enterprise System (PBES) database, the primary budget database for the Department of the Air Force. Supports the SpOC Engine Room as the primary analyst tracking and informing the staff of all changes to the database to ensure situational awareness. Coordinates and interfaces with the Headquarters Space Force Engine Room on database actions to include POM actions, database corrections, Office of Management and Budget modifications and corrections, updates and changes based on OSD direction, and actions directed by SAF/FM.

• SpOC/S8P Engine Room Lead database analyst
• Provides updates and changes to the SpOC/S8P staff as they related to programmatic actions reflective of the POM and planning actions
• Maintain situational awareness of database access and use related to PBES content
• Familiar with all PBES functionality (training will be provided by the government)
• Staff draft PPlan, assemble CRM comments with proposed adjudication, and finalize coordination.
• Be prepared to develop and extract funding information from the PEBS database and disseminate information for analyst to review.
• Be able to assist in the review and submission inputs and POM documents between the SpOC and HQ SF Engine Room
• These inputs may be comprised of point or position papers, narratives, tri-charts, program execution charts
• Be prepared to support analysis and provide technical expertise regarding OSD documents, such as Program Budget Decisions (PBDs), Program Decision Memorandums (PDMs), and Resource Management Decisions (RMDs), Congressional marks for four separate committees and two conferences, and any other resource actions that affect current and planned operational capabilities with the aim to provide recommended statements of operational impact to HQ USSF.

Skills & Qualifications:

United States Space Force experience; (5- 10 yrs-desired) experience with automated database systems and processes. Familiarity with Space systems/platforms and the Department of Defense is a bonus; experience with Joint/High Headquarters instruction documents and TMT/NGeS, and MS Office.
