We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of customer deposits, ensuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy. If you have strong attention to detail and knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures, we want to hear from you. Also, this role will mostly be a remote position, though must be in the office at our Brooklyn Center office 1-2 times per month depending on business needs. Candidates must be located in MN to be considered for this role.

What you will be responsible for:

• Prepare daily bank deposits and apply payments to customer accounts
• Process customer credit card payments when necessary
• Process and post customer credit memo’s and refunds daily
• Upload customer invoices through online portals
• Communicate with customer contacts to resolve discrepancies on invoices, payments, etc.
• Provide duplicate invoices and customer statements when requested
• Provide periodic billing reports to customers as assigned
• Must communicate and follow up effectively with sales and customer service department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis
• Maintain sales tax exemption forms
• Provide excellent & considerate customer service
• Back up to daily invoicing
• Back up to accounts payable
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor

What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required):

• Minimum level of education is a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of office administration and procedures
• Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
• Proficient use of personal computer and other supporting business equipment is a must
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain both a proactive and positive attitude
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and adaptability
• Remain calm under pressure and changing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be customer focused and enjoy talking on the telephone, and in-person, and assisting customers, sometimes in difficult or demanding situations
• Acumatica computer software knowledge or work experience a plus
