Salary Range: $215,000-$250,000 Bonus Stock Options

A publicly traded company specializing in system-on-chip products without in-house manufacturing, their offerings integrate radio-frequency (RF), analog, digital, and mixed-signal semiconductor technologies. Their primary goal is advancing global communication networks across various sectors, including access and connectivity, wired and wireless infrastructure, and diverse industrial applications.

We are seeking a Director of Systems Engineering to join their expanding team. In this role, your focus will include:

• Leading and empowering a team of skilled systems engineers, with an emphasis on talent recruitment and development.
• Developing cutting-edge fiber optic Ethernet SoC product platforms, overseeing the entire lifecycle from concept to production release, in close collaboration with cross-functional engineering leaders and senior management.
• Collaborating with Marketing, Systems Architecture teams, and stakeholders to define system requirements and innovative platform architectures.
• Architecting, modeling, and developing SoC reference designs, evaluation boards, and comprehensive documentation.
• Working across functional teams to validate SoC designs and troubleshoot test cases in FPGA or HW emulation environments during the pre-silicon phase.
• Leading technical activities to characterize, verify, and validate chip, package, and reference designs, ensuring alignment with production standards.
• Driving post-silicon HW/SW System Integration and Test (SIT), Compliance and Interoperability testing, and managing software releases to customers.
• Supporting key customers in integrating SoC solutions into their product designs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in building and scaling engineering teams.
• Strong background in communication SoC platform architecture, embedded firmware, host software, and system design methodologies, managing projects from concept to production.
• Understanding of data center networking infrastructure and fiber optic Ethernet systems.
• Proficiency in communication systems, analog/mixed-signal functions, and high-speed networking protocols such as Ethernet and PCIe.
• Experience with high-speed PAM4 SERDES-based system modeling, hardware design, signal integrity, and power analysis.
• Hands-on experience in chip bring-up, debugging, system integration, and laboratory validation.
• Creative problem solver with strong project management skills, capable of leading cross-functional technical teams to deliver high-quality systems on schedule.
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and excellent communication skills.
