Job Description:
Silco Fire & Security is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of fire sprinkler systems in commercial buildings.
- Perform testing and maintenance tasks to ensure systems are operational and compliant with NFPA standards and local building codes.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire sprinkler systems, including valves, pipes, pumps, and alarms.
- Repair or replace faulty components and equipment to restore system functionality.
- Document all inspections, tests, and repairs accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain findings, recommendations, and service options.
- Collaborate with team members to schedule and prioritize service calls and projects.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to fire sprinkler systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education or certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a fire sprinkler service technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards, local building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, testing equipment, and computer software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
