Silo Ridge Field Club is Hiring a Security Officer Near Amenia, NY
This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Silo Ridge Field Club, set in Amenia, New York.
Silo Ridge Filed Club is seeking a Security Officer to join the Safety and Security Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise Silo Ridge property access at member and construction entry points
- Ensure calendars and schedules for arriving members, guests, and contractors are reviewed and communicate with assisting departments upon their arrival
- Patrol duties via property provided vehicle, and member, guests, and contractor escort as needed
- Respond to alarms concerning security and Life Safety, as well as assist contracted medical provider to any medical emergencies that may arise on the property
- Deter and investigate any criminal activity verbally or by the use of reviewing security cameras; breach of Silo Ridge policy, accident, or property loss which occurs on Silo Ridge property (or otherwise assigned)
- Serve as liaison to other local, state, or federal law enforcement agencies and maintain communicative, professional, and cordial relationships
- Possess sound judgment, a good demeanor, and an ability to handle and diffuse potentially dangerous situations in a non-threatening and safe manner
- As per Silo Ridge policy regarding access, cooperate with and assist any law enforcement agency requiring entry onto Silo Ridge property
- Work with our neighbors and our lessees to jointly solve problems and maintain amicable relationships
- Understands the role of the security officer in maintaining peace, tranquility, safety, and the quality of life for all stakeholders at Silo Ridge property
- Proficient in writing reports, use of two-way radio communications, telephone, and company provided computer with Word and Excel programs
- Ability to become CPR/AED qualified, and apply practices as needed
- Candidate must have NYS Security Guard License as well as valid driver’s license with no more than (3) points over the last (12) months.
- Clean background check.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of (1) year related experience.
- Previous experience in Military, Law Enforcement, Security, Safety, Medical Services, or Customer Services a plus!
- Positive attitude, possess great communication skills, and outstanding customer service habits.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
- Weekly pay starting at $22.00/hour.

- Flexible schedule; Dayshift, 2nd and 3rd shifts available throughout the week and weekends. Overtime available based on property needs.
