Silver Creek - Boise is Hiring a Product Manager - Plumbing Near Boise, ID

Silver Creek Supply, a brand of Heritage Supply Group, is a fast-growing company looking for the most talented team of people that work together to deliver the industry’s best products and services to our customers, helping them achieve their goals!

We seek a dynamic and experienced Product Manager, overseeing our Plumbing- Hydronic- Excavation product lines, to join our team! As the Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing our product portfolio, leading a team of sales professionals with product knowledge and opportunities, and developing strong relationships with vendors. Your expertise in all facets of the Plumbing, Hydronics, and Excavation professional industries will be key to your success in this role. Silver Creek Supply services customers in Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah.

Responsibilities:

Product Management:

  • Lead the growth of these product lines company wide. Conduct market research, monitor industry trends and identify new products to enhance our offerings.

  • Drive collaboration with our Vendors, Branches and Sales Team on education opportunities for our team and our customers.

  • Develop and implement product marketing strategies that drive growth and profitability.

  • Analyze and strategically position product lines that Silver Creek Supply has an advantage on in the market.

  • Work closely with purchasing to monitor inventory levels and supplier performance to achieve industry leading service level goals.

  • Assist the company in generating 4-5 inventory turns per year.

  • Collaborate with all key stakeholders to constantly reduce our slow moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB).

  • Work with our e-commerce team to ensure our plumbing, hydronics and excavation offering accurately represented online.

Leadership Qualities:

  • Be a vital part of the leadership team at Silver Creek Supply and Heritage to continue our “culture of caring about the people we work with, our customers, the industries we serve and the communities we live in.”

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to help the team excel in their roles.

  • Work with the ASM and TMs in developing sales strategies to achieve their goals and through product category expansion.

  • Collaborate with other Product Managers on “cross-over” lines.

  • Communicate Product Category objectives with the branch and sales team.

  • Establish a preferred supplier directory for the company to use as a resource.

Vendor Relationships:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure we are driving value up and down the supply chain.

  • Collaborate with vendors to develop joint marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and exclusive product offerings.

  • Stay up to date with industry advancements and communicate relevant information or trends to the branches and sales team.

  • Attend and participate in industry events and trade shows.

  • Work with our Field Support Center to help coordinate pricing, inventory, and supplier compliance.

  • Work with the event and marketing coordinator to ensure SPF and COOP funds are effectively utilized and reimbursement is thoroughly managed.

Sales Planning:

  • Work closely with the company and brand leadership to develop comprehensive sales plans and merchandising efforts for our branches. Help Branch Managers create and build interactive and professional displays.

  • Analyze market performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Collaborate with company leadership and participate in all customer related events.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in plumbing, hydronic and excavation industry. Must have advanced knowledge of products used and installation techniques required.

  • Have a proven track record of sales and product management.

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

  • Strategic and analytical thinker that strives to innovate.

  • Strong leadership/communication skills required. Must be comfortable presenting in a group setting.

  • Must have the ability and desire to work within a “team” environment!

  • Must be willing to travel and have extended stays to meet with branch managers and sales team at all locations. Attendance at Silver Creek and Heritage leadership meetings required.

Reporting and Pay Structure:

  • This position will report directly to the District Manager of Silver Creek Supply.

  • Pay range, depends on experience, $90,000.00- $120,000.00 yearly salary.

  • Bonus program based on company performance and execution of key initiatives.
