This position is to provide technical support as it pertains to maintaining, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting Silver Dollar City’s computer network systems in alignment with HFE standards. This position will monitor and install LANs, WANs, WLANs, and intranet systems as well as participate in new network infrastructure projects. This position is a local representation of the HFE infrastructure team and will work within the standards and protocols set forth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all backups are performed and routine restoration tests are performed to ensure data integrity and recoverability on network equipment.
• Remediate all OMC security vulnerabilities with guidance from InfoSec.
• Perform periodic scheduled wireless scans for rogue access points.
• Configure and deploy new network switches as well as properly decommissioning old gear. Maintain naming conventions, configuration management, IP addressing, and general asset knowledge. Respond to and address alerts.
• Work with and manage contracted third-party vendors to install network drops or fiber installations.
• Participate in identifying, scheduling, and performing routine system upgrades to ensure that the network is running on the most stable and current versions.
• Routinely monitor OMC and Guest wireless networks for availability and proper performance. Respond to and address alerts.
• Monitor network for availability and optimum performance. Respond to and address alerts.
• Monitor server room conditions to ensure proper ventilation according to the temperature monitor. Verify UPS are healthy. Establish maintenance and testing schedules for the server room.
• Document new systems and infrastructure including data flows. Update changes to existing documentation. Discover and document undocumented systems and critical system processes.
• Identify and maintain an inventory of guest or revenue-impacting network equipment.
• Use view-only privileges on firewalls to identify, document, and troubleshoot firewall-related issues and report to InfoSec for follow-up configuration adjustments.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Minimum of one year experience in a Help Desk, customer service, or fast-paced service-oriented environment.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with basic Networking support.
• CCNA Certification is preferred, but not required for consideration.
• Must be willing to take and pass Network within the first year of employment.
• A firm grasp of core networking concepts and IP addressing.
• Intermediate to Advanced Cisco routing and switching are required.
• Experience with voice communication technologies, specifically VoIP.
• Familiar with network cabling including copper punch-down and terminations.
• A valid Missouri driver’s license and proof of insurance are required.
• Must pass a background and credit check.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using Personal Computers, including MS/Windows Office products.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a Team environment.
