IMMEDIATE HIRING FOR PART-TIME COOK! $17.00 per Hour!
The Cook performs specified duties in order to maintain high-quality food preparation, production, service and portion control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of a COOK include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- prepares and cooks food for residents
- monitors food service for nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards
- frequently uses microwave, stove, oven, can openers, dishwashers, slicers, grease traps, vent hoods, and freezers, cleans and inspects equipment, appliances, and work areas in order to ensure cleanliness and functional operation
- prepares major meals by following recipes, determining food quantities and following meal time schedules
- follows all food safety regulations
Education and/or Experience of a COOK
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 0-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- valid Food Handler certification
- ability to multi-task
