Staff Development Coordinator/RN – Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Staff Development Coordinator/RN who is committed to recruiting, leading new hire orientation, and implementing continuous training and in-service educational programs in accordance with company policies and regulations.

Staff Development Coordinator/RN – Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and center staff in assessing training needs and in-service educational programs to improve the skills of center personnel.
  • Lead the new hire orientation program to include the overall administration
  • Implement and develop job skills training to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and integration of trainees
  • Maintain and enhance the Staff Development Program:
  • Yearly educational program schedule, lessons/plans, program agenda
  • Attendance information on each program session presented and/or attended
  • Provide educational record documentation and apprise appropriate department managers and Administrator of those who have failed to attend in-service programs mandatory by state, federal or company requirements
  • Coordinate budget with the Administrator for materials and equipment for all programs
  • Maintain an awareness of expenditures from budget and maintain effective communication with the Administrator on the use of forecasted budget

Staff Development Coordinator/RN – Qualifications:

  • MUST hold a current and valid RN license in the state employed
  • Must have two (2) years’ training experience
  • Completion of post-secondary education
  • Present group training at a level necessary to accomplish the job
  • Must meet all local health regulations and pass post- employment exam, if required

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call

Experience:

  • Skilled nursing facility: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Staff training: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • RN License (Preferred)
  • BLS Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
