JOB DESCRIPTION: The Warehouse Associate will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, staging or managing, organizing, delivering and retrieving stock.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise

• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in staging area
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Always organize warehouse and work area for
• Receive and process incoming orders and provide thorough documentation
• Stay current with warehousing policies to contribute to a safe and appropriate work environment
• Wear appropriate safety gear
• Provide detailed reports of daily functions in relation to shipments, inventory count, and incoming stock
• Work cooperatively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
• Reliably pull and process orders, logging items as required
• Accurately restock incoming items, logging items as required
• Wear the proper safety equipment and always demonstrate commitment to safety standards
• Report any order discrepancies or issues to management as soon as possible
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
• Ensure all construction materials are delivered on schedule to avoid project delays. Communicate any potential delays to the site supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Utilize GPS and traffic apps to select the most efficient routes, minimizing travel time and fuel consumption while avoiding traffic congestion and road closures.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• 1-2 yrs. previous warehouse experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

Travel may be required to deliver to job sites if needed and for occasional job site cleanup support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
