Title: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Shift: 12*4 (Night)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Role Summary:

• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN) in the Long-Term Care facility will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients requiring extended medical attention.
• This role involves working closely with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Prepare and assist with medical procedures and tests.
• Perform wound care, including cleaning and dressing changes.
• Ensure the safe and accurate use of medical equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
• Participate in shift handovers and team meetings.
• Support colleagues and foster a positive work environment.
• Advocate for the rights and needs of patients.

Qualifications:

• Valid LPN license in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS Certification.
• 1 Year LTC nursing experience.
• Strong clinical and technical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary, Travel nursing

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
