Role and Responsibilities
The Laser Etcher position is an intermediate position requiring high attention to detail, capability to work within large tolerances, minor computer skills, setting up fixturing for specific parts, and being able to measure to specific locations. This role is responsible for the following:
· Operating the laser etching machine
· Programming and trouble-shooting the laser etching machine
· Performing preventative maintenance as required
A Laser Etcher will need to be competent in the use of the following tools (training provided):
· Optical Comparator
· Caliper
· CAD Software (Trumpf)
· Computer
· Blueprints (Intermediate skill level)
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
· High Attention to Detail
· High Technical Aptitude
· Experience in Manufacturing or Machining environment
· Preferred Experience: Two years’ experience with mechanical maintenance, laser cutting equipment, or equivalent.
