It is essential Why this role is important to us Simcorp is currently seeking a qualified experienced professional to join our Technology Solutions team as a full-time employee, based in our NYC office. The ideal candidate for this role is an enthusiastic, technical professional, with a solid quantitative background, who is looking for an exciting and diverse role supporting investment professionals and implementing risk solutions. What you will be responsible for: • Be a subject matter expert on all technical aspects of our SaaS Risk platform, including data integration, security and permissions, system configurations and best practice customizations, across both the UI and the API. • Implementation of Clients / Partners onto the platform, focusing on ETL, operational requirements and supporting the delivery of key business objectives. As part of this, you will work / co-ordinate with Product Engineering, CloudOps and our Content teams to overcome issues around scalability and coverage, as well as address functional gaps. • Understand prospective clients' needs and current workflows and train them on the effective use of platform to maximize the value of its capabilities, including new features relevant to their business. Some domain expertise / experience in Risk and Analytics would be valuable. • Design and implement API based solutions to overcome technical challenges around data integration and generation of risk analytics, to meet customer requirements. • Work directly with product team to influence product enhancements and improvements, guided by client feedback and personal experience. Document Client requirements and translate these into specifications documents for Product Management. • Provide technical support across all phases of Client onboarding, ranging from Pre-Sales to Level 2 Support. What we value: • Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical subject. • 5-7 years of implementation experience with a quantitative financial technology firm, or a large financial institution. • Expertise with Rest-APIs is a key requirement, along with programming experience in either Python or C#. • Strong knowledge of financial risk and risk management • Strong oral and written communication skills • Great problem-solving skills • Experience of BI tools such as Tableau is a plus • Experience of IT project management is a plus Please note: Only applications sent through our system will be processed. For New York City only: The annual salary range for this position is $120,000-180,000 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans.
