Facilitates tracking and weighing of all inbound raw products.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates the shipment of goods. Collects and creates paperwork to ship and receive products by maintaining proper structure and shipping schedule.
Collects info to maintain reports and downtime tracking. Trains load out operators to ensure proper procedures are followed.
Documents and maintains complete logs of all products leaving the facility. Selects the correct product to ship per specifications of the customer in available inventory.
Manages paperwork and housing of it for retention and reproduces copies on demand. Documents thoroughly and record all inbound and outbound material from the facility.
Seals trailers before leaving property.
Monitors and maintains inventory levels. Forms cycle counts, makes adjustment to finished product inventory and maintains adjustment reports.
Places requisition numbers to Purchase Orders and completes aged products and shortage reports. Details log of all inbound products and calculates weight of non-usable material per truckload.
e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives : Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN);
understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities : Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print.
Inspects trailers for HACCP inspections.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) : As required by visiting facility
Travel : Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites.
Technical Experience : 1-3 years work experience in warehouse shipping or in a shipping and receiving department.
Industry Experience : Preference for bulk product handling and shipping / receiving.
Minimum Education : High School Diploma or equivalent.
