The Quality Control/Grinding Technician is responsible for assisting all Quality Control team members in the grinding area and glass QC.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Grinding, polishing and sanding of glass items
• Inspection
• Clearing of the lehr
• Basic backup for Quality Control
• Lamp assembly
• Wash all finished product prior to final inspection from Quality Control Inspectors
• Basic backup for Quality Control
• tidies, and organizes grinding and/or inspection areas at the end of each day All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience running abrasive and cutting machine preferred but not required High school diploma preferred

• Requires standing, sitting, walking, stooping, crouching, kneeling, leaning, and using steps.
• Consistently using arms, wrists, hands, and fingers to manipulate tools and shape cooled glass.
• Lifting, carrying, and manipulation of up to twenty (20) pounds of glass.
• The work exposes employee to high temperatures, P.P.E. is supplied. There is also exposure to [dust] airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise, and equipment that is hot to the touch.
