General InformationThe IT Intern provides high-quality customer service to the client, responding to requests and issues accurately and promptly. Responsibilities

• Evaluate, document, trouble shoot, and resolve daily interruptions of service provided by the Information Technology Dept.
• Establish an effective interpersonal skill set to support daily business systems work flow. process with the company’s user community
• Strong written and communication skills
• Review then prioritize and schedule problems and customer request with supervisor or Information Technology steering committee or directional management.
• Record, track and document the help desk activity, request and problem resolution and project management.
• Thorough working knowledge of the organizations business systems hardware and software, policies, procedures and operations as provided and supported by the Information Technology Dept.
• Software and Hardware updates / upgrades as assigned. Assist with large system software and Hardware updates.
• Performing preventative maintenance (P/M) on all computer equipment, PCs, monitors, printers, workstations, peripherals, fax / copiers etc.
• Perform thorough testing of all proposed or implemented resolutions.
• Post resolution follow-ups to help request.

Position Requirements

• Provide individual and class room training on the Prevision software application
• Provide training on the AirWatch Mobile Device Management software application used on all tablets
• Provide training on the use of Bluetooth and other applications used on mobile devices supporting Android and iPhone
• Prepare Dell desktops and Dell laptops with the current used version of Microsoft Windows software (currently 7.0)
• Prepare computer equipment with proper security software such as anti-virus and malware software protection
• Respond and interact with employees of Simon Roofing for all support regarding technology using the Samange help desk software
• Provide superior levels of customer service to employees and customers for all support requests coming to the help desk team
• Assist the IT department and its clients with special projects and rollouts of technology as needed

EducationCollege diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, and/or 2 years equivalent work experience.
