This position will contribute to an active program developing Radiology AI solutions and LLC for practical application within a diagnostic imaging practice. Scientist will work with a team active in implementing advances and with a mission to bring the latest technology to the community to improve patient care.

As a Senior Scientist, you will work with Senior Management including the CEO to bring these advances to one of the largest outpatient imaging practices in the United States. The position can be onsite in Scottsdale, Arizona or remote.

Ongoing responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with internal and external like-minded professionals to develop initiatives and strategies enabled by AI functionality.
• Help lead SimonMed in proposing and designing data based and scientific methods through use of AI/LLM to increase patient and physician services and health care.
• Researching and leading machine learning and AI technologies to meet our patient services mission.
• Collect and transform data useful in translating algorithms into enhanced radiologic services intended to enhance patient outcomes and support medical diagnosis and treatments.
• Lead others in translating algorithms into commercially viable products and services, develop, deploy and apply analytics, and research and deploy emerging technologies.
• Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods.

Education Qualification

Master’s Degree or higher in and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in machine learning, data science, computer vision, or artificial intelligence

Desired Characteristics

• Capability to build generative AI models, large vision/language models, and multi-modal AI models for problems related to segmentation, detection, quantification, measurements, classification, etc.

• Demonstrated skill in the state-of-the-art AI/LLM methods
• Experience leading the development and deployment of highly scalable systems, algorithms, and tools on platforms to support machine learnings and deep learning solutions. 
• Solutions integration proficiency
• Expertise working in team settings, interpersonal and problem-solving skills including collaborative software development experience. 
• Exceptional problem solving and analysis skills, systems thinker, results driven, self-motivated, team skills, and ability to work both independently and with distributed teams.
• Expertise in presentation and communications skills
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, and an ability to drive results.
