Purpose of the Job: The Production Operator is responsible for performing several manufacturing functions using various equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and completes required paperwork for Production operations
- Performs typical production functions to include: operating equipment, moving material, verifying dimensions, and required quality inspections
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- May operate a forklift if certified to do so
- Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and production area.
- Stripes and respools wire to meet customer specific requirements.
- Prepares products and goods for shipment.
- Other warehouse duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn the use of calipers
- Able to perform basic set-up functions on machines
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as prints, production orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to receive and store goods and materials, including ability to lift-up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally
