SIMPLE LABORATORIES is Hiring a Lab Assistant I - Overnight Near Harwood, IL

Looking to help your community while earning money? Simple Laboratories’ Laboratory Support Services team is looking for an overnight Lab Assistant level I to process specimens and enter pertinent information into our Laboratory Information System. Must be detail-oriented, reliable and have excellent interpersonal skills as well as basic knowledge of computer operations. Join our dynamic and fun team today!

10pm-6:30am M-F with rotating weekend shifts

Main Responsibilities:

Have a great attitude and passion for helping customers, patients, and clients
Answer incoming calls about lab results in a professional manner
Be able to learn and understand the basics about lab testing, explain results, turnaround times, requirements, specimen collection etc. to our clients
Be comfortable handling and labeling medical specimen samples on daily basis
Accurately enter data relating to medical samples in laboratory specimen tracking software

Specifications:

HS diploma, GED or equivalent
Computer proficient: must understand Microsoft Office and other computer-based programs
Strong attention to details, highly organized
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Previous experience working within a lab environment, knowledge of medical testing preferred
Previous customer service experience preferred
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced professional office environment
