SIMPLE LABORATORIES is Hiring a Medical Lab Technician -PM Shift Near Chicago, IL
BASIC FUNCTION: Simple Laboratories is searching for a candidate that will perform laboratory tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology/Serology, Clinical Microscopy and Microbiology.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 2nd Shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm) with rotating weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Medical lab Technician /Technologist are responsible for accurately processing, analyzing and reporting laboratory results with limited supervision while maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Must understand quality control monitoring, computer applications, troubleshooting when necessary.
- Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.
- Perform a variety of routine and special laboratory procedures as authorized by the Manager or Director including rotation through at least three (3) areas of the Clinical Lab: Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunology/Serology, and Microbiology.
- Operate laboratory equipment and instruments; record data and maintain equipment.
- Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
- Use universal safety precautions to protect self and co-workers from bio-hazardous materials, including blood-borne pathogens.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology or Chemistry. MLS, MLT license / certificate, ASCP/AMT.
- Minimum of one (1) year clinical laboratory experience.
