Simple Technology Solutions is looking for an App Developr to add to our team.
Quick Position Overview:
- US Citizenship is required
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- minimum of 5 years' position related experience is required
- Previous government contracting experience is required
- AWS Certification Preferred
- Role is not an immediate opening
In anticipation of a government proposal, please note that this role is contingent upon the award of work and will not be an immediate hire but will commence upon confirmation of the award.
The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated App Developer with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java development frameworks and API development. The primary responsibility will be to build and maintain custom interfaces between Mark43 and other DOI-designated systems. Experience with low-code tools will be considered a plus.
The App Developer at STS will:
- Develop and maintain custom interfaces between Mark43 and various DOI-designated systems using Java development frameworks.
- Design, build, and document APIs to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and implement integration requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly to ensure smooth operation.
- Utilize low-code tools for rapid development and deployment of integration solutions where applicable.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve development processes and outcomes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain high code quality standards.
Education and Experience:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Java development frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
- Strong expertise in API development and integration.
- Experience with low-code development tools (e.g., Mendix, OutSystems) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Mark43 or similar public safety software systems is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
- Must be able to work the hours of 8am-5pm Eastern Time regardless of your home location
- Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Deep understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certification is highly desirable
