Simple Technology Solutions is looking for a Cloud Architectto add to our team.
Quick Position Overview:
- US Citizenship is required
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Minimum of 8 years' position related experience is required
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification is required.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect with a minimum of eight years of experience in Enterprise IT. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing logical and network diagrams, with a focus on migrating from AWS Commercial Cloud to FedRamp Approved Gov Cloud environments. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud cost forecasting and optimization techniques to ensure efficient resource utilization.
The Cloud Architect at STS will:
Lead the migration efforts from AWS Commercial Cloud to FedRamp Approved Gov Cloud while ensuring seamless transition and adherence to compliance standards.
Analyze cloud usage patterns and forecast future requirements to optimize costs without compromising performance or security
Utilize TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) principles to design Agile solutions that meet organizational objectives and align with industry best practices.
Design FISMA/NIST compliant solutions and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements throughout the architecture lifecycle.
Demonstrate proficiency in network protocols and firewall policies to design robust and secure cloud architectures.
Implement message services such as Apache ActiveMQ and MuleSoft to enable seamless communication between distributed components.
Design and implement microservices/container architectures using technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to facilitate scalability and flexibility.
Implement Application Performance Monitoring (APM) solutions like Data Dog and AppDynamics to monitor and optimize application performance in the cloud environment.
Design and implement cloud-based hosting solutions, including backup and recovery strategies, to ensure data integrity and availability.
Proficiency in managing databases, including MongoDB and Oracle, to support application requirements and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Education and Experience:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment
- Proven success as a technical team leader with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Experience planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design.
- Extensive experience in Enterprise IT, with a focus on cloud architecture and migration projects.
- Strong proficiency in designing logical and network diagrams.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud cost forecasting and optimization techniques.
- Experience applying TOGAF principles in Agile solution designs.
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewall policies, and security best practices.
- Experience designing FISMA/NIST compliant solutions.
- Familiarity with message services such as Apache ActiveMQ and MuleSoft.
- Hands-on experience with microservices/container architectures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools like Data Dog and AppDynamics.
- Expertise in cloud-based hosting solutions and backup/recovery strategies.
- Strong database management skills, including experience with MongoDB and Oracle.
Required Certification
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification is required.
