Simplex currently has an opening for a recreation associate for a busy community center located in Collegeville, PA. This position is part time up to 20 hours per week Monday through Saturday.
Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide light housekeeping as needed. Maintain a neat and tidy front desk area at all times while keeping the organization of files and other resources readily available.
• Honorably handle payment transactions.
• Setting up activity equipment such as tables, instruments, electronics, etc.
• Supervise the Kids Korner and help or independently run the programs scheduled for that day.
• Assist SW/UPT staff in conducting sports, games, and events.
• Assisting participants during activities.
• Exemplify the character and professional integrity of the facility and Simplex Wellness.
• Serve as the first point of contact for members, visitors, vendors, staff, and guests ensuring proper check-in procedure is followed for anyone entering the facility.
• Open/close facility and maintain safety and cleanliness of the facility.
• Conduct fitness orientations and provide education/information to members.
• Assist in supervising the floor while building member relationships, monitor safety, and provide feedback when warranted.
• Encourage member participation through regular engagement promoting challenges and events.
• Promote the offerings and outreach activities at the facility to increase participation and retention.
• Have a working knowledge and comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the facility and SW such as age policy, emergency action plan, and etiquette policy.
• Utilize exceptional situational awareness to provide a positive experience for all passholders and teammates.
• Demonstrate sound understanding with ability to promote nutrition programs offered through Simplex Health.
• Coordinate with the Recreation Manager to assist in all off site activities such as health fairs, program preview parties, and other special events.
• Perform administrative tasks associated with operations as well as other projects and duties as assigned by your Recreation Manager.
• Can utilize and train effectively on SW software.
• Always on time and in uniform.
• Focused on the team, both site and company wide, over self.
• Provides excellent customer service throughout all aspects of position.
• Maintain exceptional communication channels between other employees, management, and township personnel.
• Answer phones in a friendly and professional manner assisting callers with a variety of questions.
• Fully handle questions/ issues/ complaints from members via phone calls, emails and face to face interaction.
• Accurately input membership, programs registrations, and POS into onsite software and process the associated fees. Competency in operating software effectively during high traffic periods is required.
• Balance customer service skills with business logic to create the best solutions to resolve member issues.

Role Requirements:

• Maintain up to date CPR/AED certification.
• Adhere to clearance requirements of the facility. These clearances must be updated every 36 months.

Hourly Wage: $14-$16 based on experience
