What You’ll Do

Our Growth Incubation team is a start-up within Simplisafe, responsible for finding “what’s next” when it comes to growing the business. This includes new channels, new business models, new partnerships, and more. We are a small but dynamic team that rolls up its sleeves to get the job done and deliver. As part of the team, you’ll need to be able to seamlessly go from strategic to detail oriented, analytical to creative, and one initiative to another.

Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Data Analysis: Leverage data to both extract insights and identify actionable opportunities to accelerate initiative performance. Use insights to identify the “so what” and communicate that effectively with Incubation leader and Chief Growth Officer
  • Project Management: Support full incubation initiative or lead a distinct workstream independently. This includes workstream planning, coordinating key activities, managing cross-functional relationships, tracking progress and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor initiative performance. Create dashboards to report on performance to management and external stakeholders
  • Support Storytelling: Develop compelling stories through deck creation for leadership; this includes updating on progress, pitching new opportunities, gaining new resources, etc. 
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting activities. Help support strategic decisions with ROI analysis 
  • Cross-functional Communication & Collaboration: Collaborate effectively across the marketing organization and beyond to drive initiatives forward and co-build solutions (with Ecommerce, Legal, Customer Experience, etc.)

What You’ll Bring

  • Typically requires at least 3-5 years of consulting, project management, and/or analyst experience
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects with multiple stakeholders, including cross-functional collaboration, risk escalation, and critical path identification
  • Ability to build relationships across an organization, allowing for influence and getting others to “root” for your success
  • Excellent communicator; from active listener, to impactful writer, to compelling speaker
  • Significant experience with Excel (e.g., building models, formulas) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and managing shifting priorities based on results / opportunity 
  • Exudes a growth mindset – willingness to challenge the status quo, focus on continuous improvement, and resilient when facing challenges
