YOU As a Quote Representative you are responsible to provide informative and efficient assistance to both customers and sales people dealing with the quote processes. This will be accomplished by processing quotes in an accurate and timely fashion while communicating and coordinating with all parties *customer, sales force, engineering, production, outside vendors, other branches, etc.) to keep them informed. Additional responsibilities may include any reasonable functions warranted to satisfy this requirement. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time) Facilitate, input, and process quote requests from customers, field sales, and inside sales. Quotes will cover all product lines including, but not limited to; job quotes, special non-catalogs, fastener, and anchors. (70%) Answer queue calls along with their direct line calls while processing quotes into the SAP systems. Required is the ability to handle calls and conversations with customers and other employees in a friendly and professional manner. (15%) Proper upkeep of paper and electronic filing systems following approved procedures. Bi-monthly review of order logs must take place and be submitted for approval within three working days of the closing date. (5%) Keep updated with all required trainings and maintain a product knowledge level which enables them to respond to questions efficiently. (5%) Continually and actively work to improve current systems and procedures. (5%) DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required 2 years Related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and training or Simpson experience Required. Teamwork: Employees will maintain a teamwork approach to their duties in dealing with all SST departments and staff. Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Analysis/Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Analyze historical job and pricing data. Communication Proficiency: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer Proficiency: Will require the use of computers at close range up to 8 hours per day. Must possess a working knowledge of any computer programs used in the execution of their responsibilities. This includes but is not limited to: Excel, Word, SAP, Smartsheet, Alteryx, etc. Customer Focus: Ability to constantly readjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing client demands. Attention to Detail: Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task. Ability to diligently attend to details and pursue quality work. WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used. TRAVEL This position requires domestic and international travel up to 0% of the time. WORK STATUS & LOCATION This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Stockton, CA. RELOCATION Relocation is not available for this position.
