DevSecOps Engineer

SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team! Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) environment using containerization technologies (e.g. Red Hat Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) and cloud environments (e.g. Amazon Web Services). This position requires onsite support at NSWC Dahlgren and could require occasional off-hours support (e.g. evenings).

Responsibilities: 

  • Support code deployments including performing troubleshooting, spin up services/pods, etc
  • Perform CI/CD pipeline patching, upgrades, and vulnerability scans
  • Implement Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

Requirements:

  • Fully Adjudicated Top Secret Clearance (United States Citizenship Required)
  • CompTIA Security certification
  • Experience with containerization technologies
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Skills & Experience: 

  • CompTIA CASP or CISSP certification
  • Experience with supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with web development or microservice architectures
  • Experience supporting operations for projects with a four or more Scrum development teams

Education:  A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is preferred, but not required

Clearance: A Final Top Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $135,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers. Why Work for SimVentions?
