Sinai Chicago is Hiring a SCI ADMIN RESEATCH ASST I Near Chicago, IL
Position Purpose:
Assists in the evaluating SCI's menu of social service programs and .
Contributes with the analysis of data needed for internal and external reports.
Assists in the management of literature, including entering articles into a literature management database, and organizing electronic and hard copies of articles.
Collects data from program participants and/or survey respondents for research and/or evaluation purposes.
Collaborates with other SCI staff on program activities as required/assigned.
Photocopying, electronic mailing, sending mail, faxing, scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, documenting project work, and other administrative duties as needed.
Assists in the training of program staff on data collection, data entry procedures and other skills as needed.
Assist in the preparation of presentation materials including PowerPoint slides, tables, and graphs.
Assists in planning and coordinating special events; responsibilities may include organizing floor plans, invitations, publicity, managing RSVPs and developing event materials.
Provides input on and may assist in creating/revising project protocols.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required.
While not required, some experience working with data or in a public health or research setting is preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, and the ability to pick-up additional computer skills as needed.
Have strong analytical skills, with experience in a statistical programming package a plus.
Knowledgeable in monitoring and evaluation methods.
Ability to communicate effectively in both a professional and community setting.
Be highly organized, able to multi-task, prioritize, and attentive to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Available to travel within city area for meetings, outreach events, and intervention activities.
May require home visits to clients' homes. The successful candidate must be comfortable with the prospect of home visits.
